The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced its operational readiness for the Eid Al-Adha holiday through a comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring smooth mobility and enhancing the efficiency of public transport services across the emirate. The plan includes operating 5,600 intercity transport trips during the holiday, using 180 buses across 15 main routes, with headways reduced to just 5 minutes during peak hours to ensure passenger comfort and reduce congestion at stations. Additionally, 12 public transport routes have been designated to run 1,144 daily trips through 543 stops, utilizing 104 buses to guarantee flexible and seamless travel for all during the Eid period. To further diversify transport options, 4 daily marine transport trips will operate between the emirates of Sharjah and Dubai throughout the holiday, departing from the Sharjah Aquarium Station to Al Ghubaiba Station—offering a comfortable and safe travel alternative for passengers.
