Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, in partnership with the Central Finance Department of Sharjah, has launched the implementation phase of the “Masar” project, an advanced electronic fee collection system for commercial trucks. The system operates through a smart mechanism powered by the latest sensing technologies and artificial intelligence to accurately capture vehicle data. The project aims to replace the current manual system with advanced digital solutions that enhance procedural efficiency and ensure fair and transparent fee collection, in line with best practices in traffic management and regulation. “Masar” represents a strategic milestone in the Authority’s digital transformation journey, contributing to smoother traffic flow, higher levels of transparency and oversight, and support for environmental sustainability.
