Authority in Sharjah, on the Flag Day
The Flag Day is a national occasion in which we renew our loyalty and belonging to our country,
and embody the unity, coexistence and peace feelings between Emiratis and residents on this
great patriotic country, and by the celebration of the Flag Day, coinciding with the anniversary
of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the State, May Allah protect
him, assuming the reins of presidency, we raise the flag above the clouds of glory and proud of
what we achieved, affirming the unity, sovereignty and pride of the Emiratis
He added that the Flag Day is a symbol of the state standing, and its interest in this day
reflects our pride, gratitude and appreciation of this great country, and this occasion
consolidates the image of the UAE as a beacon of coexistence and tolerance in the region, and
reflects the solidarity between the people of the country, and their desire to maintain the
unity spirit and adherence to the values and principles inherited from the founding fathers
I also extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed
Al Nahyan, President of the State, May Allah protect him, on the anniversary of his assumption
of the reins of government, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the
Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Members of the Supreme Council and rulers of the
Emirates.
