By the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah The Roads and Transport Authority starts to pay AED9,672,000 for the owners of taxi number plates

The Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced that the 2021 bonus payment is started to owners of old taxi number plates in the emirate, with an amount of AED 9,672,000, under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in order to provide all the essentials of a good life for the low-income people.

Abdulaziz Muhammed Al-Jarwan, Director of SRTA for Transport Affairs, has revealed that the annual bonus payment for owners of old taxi number plates operated by the concession companies which is under the Authority’s umbrella is started .

Al Jarwan said: “This step is in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, may God protect him, as part of His Highness’s keenness to follow up on his sons and their living conditions, including the owners of old vehicle number plates, to enable them to meet the requirements of life and provide them a livelihood, embodying the concept of social solidarity prevailing among the society’s members.

Al-Jarwan explained that the bonus payment to the eligible owners is made after fulfilling all the requirements and instructions followed in this aspect, such as submitting the documents related to the ownership, indicating that the competent departments in the Authority are keen to facilitate the procedures for obtaining the bonus without any obstacles, and he also called on the owners of vehicle number plates who did not meet the exchange conditions to quickly complete all the required papers and documents and submit the same to receive their dues, adding that they can contact the Authority on that number 600525252, or on number 0564144667 to respond and answer all inquiries from taxi owners.
