Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority has announced a temporary traffic diversion between University City and Ard Al Maahid as part of the Etihad Rail Station Access Roads Project, reflecting the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop infrastructure and enhance traffic flow across the Emirate.

The temporary traffic diversion will be implemented from Saturday, 4 July 2026, until Sunday, 23 August 2026, in accordance with the approved alternative routes illustrated in the attached traffic plan.

This measure forms part of the project’s implementation phase, which aims to improve the efficiency of the road network serving the Etihad Rail Station, strengthen connectivity between key road corridors, and support the future transport system in the Emirate of Sharjah.

The Authority urges motorists to adhere to the approved traffic diversions, use the designated alternative routes, and follow traffic signs and road safety instructions to ensure their safety and maintain smooth traffic flow throughout the implementation period.
