Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority Transports More Than 225,000 Passengers Through Bus Services During Eid Al Adha Holiday

Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority recorded strong operational performance during the Eid Al Adha holiday, with more than 225,000 passengers using bus services, reflecting the efficiency of the public transport network and the Authority’s readiness to meet the mobility needs of residents and visitors throughout the holiday period.

During the same period, 136,256 passengers travelled on intercity transport services, while 89,121 passengers used public transport services within the Emirate. Taxi services recorded 386,500 trips, and 1,600 passengers benefited from the marine transport service between Sharjah and Dubai.

These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Authority’s operational plans during the holiday and its success in delivering integrated transport services capable of meeting increased demand across various transport modes.

The Authority continues to enhance public transport, marine transport, and taxi services while adopting smart and innovative solutions that improve quality of life and provide safe and sustainable mobility options for all segments of society.
