Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority continues construction works on the Al Taawun Tunnel Project, one of the Emirate’s strategic infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing the efficiency of the road network and keeping pace with Sharjah’s continuous urban and traffic growth.

The project is expected to reduce waiting times by up to 85%, contributing to smoother traffic flow, improving mobility along key corridors, reducing congestion, and enhancing the overall quality of life for road users.

The project forms part of the Authority’s broader infrastructure development program, which aims to upgrade the transport network in accordance with the highest engineering standards, supporting sustainable development and improving the efficiency of the Emirate’s road system.
