Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority announced during an interview on the “Direct Line” program that the Al Taawun Tunnel Project has reached 20% completion, marking continued progress in one of the Emirate’s key strategic infrastructure projects.

The project is designed to enhance traffic flow, improve the efficiency of the road network, and reduce congestion along one of Sharjah’s busiest traffic corridors, contributing to a safer and more efficient mobility experience.

Al Taawun Tunnel forms part of the Authority’s ongoing infrastructure development program aimed at supporting urban and economic growth, upgrading the transport network in accordance with the highest engineering standards, and enhancing quality of life while advancing the Emirate’s sustainable development objectives.
