The “Direct Line” programme showcased the planned design of Al Taawun Square, part of ongoing projects to develop Sharjah’s road network and key traffic corridors, with the aim of improving traffic flow and facilitating access to Expo Centre Sharjah and surrounding areas.

The development forms part of ongoing works to enhance road network efficiency in the area and improve vehicle movement along key routes leading to Expo Centre Sharjah, providing road users with smoother and more convenient access.

Progress on the project coincides with preparations to welcome visitors to the upcoming Sharjah International Book Fair, enhancing the road network’s readiness to accommodate expected traffic during the event and providing visitors with smoother access to the exhibition venue.

The project reflects ongoing efforts to develop Sharjah’s transport infrastructure and deliver integrated traffic solutions that support major events hosted across the Emirate, while enhancing mobility efficiency and quality of life.
