Final works are underway on the Al Dhaid Bridge Project, implemented by Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority in cooperation with the Sharjah Initiatives Implementation Authority “Mubadara”, ahead of its scheduled opening to traffic on 15 November 2026, as announced during the “Direct Line” programme.
The project forms part of ongoing development initiatives aimed at enhancing infrastructure and improving road network efficiency in Sharjah’s Central Region.
Extending 320 metres, the bridge represents a significant addition to Al Dhaid’s road network, contributing to smoother traffic flow and improved connectivity between key routes. It also features four elevators, balconies, and viewing areas overlooking Al Dhaid Lake beneath the bridge, combining engineering functionality with distinctive urban aesthetics.
The project reflects the development vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his continued commitment to developing the Emirate’s cities through integrated infrastructure that supports urban growth and enhances quality of life.
In cooperation and coordination with relevant entities, the Authority continues to advance road development projects across Sharjah, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, road safety, and mobility while meeting the evolving needs of the community.
