100 employees of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority have already vaccinated against "Covid-19"
As SRTA is keen to provide all the health care services to its employees, and protects them from Corona pandemic, about 100 of its employees, in cooperation with the Preventive Medicine Department - the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, have already vaccinated against "Covid-19" during the campaign launched by the SRTA under name “Vaccination .. Immunization" and lasted for one day.
The registration processes launched on Wednesday morning in the Sheikh Zayed Room at the Authority’s HQ in Al Azra area has witnessed a wide numbers of the employees who have started to register from the first hours of announcement regarding vaccine’s availability, by electronic channels and SMS messages provided by the competent departments at the Authority, to ensure the physical distancing and comply with the precautionary procedures and instructions in this regard.
H.E Eng. Yousef Saleh Al-Suwaiji, Chairman of Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, said that the Authority based on its keenness to provide the necessary health care for its employees, especially in the current conditions witnessed by the world due to the Corona pandemic, it has coordinated with the Preventive Medicine Department at the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in order to provide a number of "Covid-19" vaccines for its employees who desire to take the vaccine, appreciating the great cooperation of the Ministry of Health and Community Protection in securing and providing this number of vaccines.
H.E Eng. Al-Suwaiji stressed that it is necessary to apply the recommended precautionary measures, including the use of masks, and keeping physical distancing, even by those who took the vaccine, to ensure the highest levels of safety and security for all.
On his part, Mohamed Al-Zaabi, Director of the Legal Affairs Department and Chairman of the Control and Precautionary Procedures Follow up Committee against novel coronavirus “Covid-19” at the Authority confirmed that vaccine’s provision is an important step to confront spreading “Covid-19” and limit the same, indicating that after taking the vaccine, the preventive measures and precautionary measures should be applied which are the best means to eliminate this virus, and avoid its spread in the society.
Al-Zaabi explained that the competent departments at the Authority registered, during the past few days, the number of those registered to receive the vaccine, and it was found that a large number of the Authority’s employees registered in the campaign lasted for one day, indicating that certain times were determined for women and other times for men in Sheikh Zayed Room at the Authority’s HQ, which was prepared for that purpose applying the highest precautionary measures.
He indicated that the total number of employees vaccinated reached to 100 employees from all departments and divisions at the Authority, appreciating the high awareness of all employees about this pandemic and their keenness to take the vaccine to prevent them from it.
